Walking your talk has never really made sense to me. I always thought you should talk your walk, but then again, I always was a "chatty Cathy". Then, someone wise once told me to "talk less, and listen more". I took this advice to heart and started listening more than I talked. To my surprise, I learned that other people have a lot to say about most everything, including me and themselves. Most often, I've discovered, people just need to vent about their day or about their situations. People feel better after they get things off their chests. They don't necessarily expect a reply or even advice. They just want someone to listen to them. I began replying with comments, such as, "I understand." Or, "I see how your feel." These simple statements make the other person feel validated and respected and they usually feel healed or empowered simply by your acknowledging words.
Another easy healing technique is to touch someone gently with the palm of your hand. There are three key places on the body you can do this in unassuming ways. One is by placing your hand in theirs if it's convenient and they're open to it. Some people resist hand-to-hand contact. But, if it's a family member or a close friend, this may be appropriate. Hold their hand while their talking and reassure them that things will be okay and that holding an intention for the highest of good to manifest and positive thinking has scientifically been proven to increase desired results. You can also share about the power of affirmations and meditations.
If the person you're with is resistant to hand-holding, you can place your hand on their upper to mid-back as reassurance to them that they aren't alone. This is a good time to offer Reiki to them. You don't have to tell them you're doing Reiki on them, simply balance their chakras and bless them as you are conversing. Their higher self will feel the energy work and their physical form will eventually adjust to your healing. Another place you may want to place your hand is on their forearm or shoulder, depending on how you and the other person are positioned. It's a casual way for you to perform Reiki on the person and bless them while conversing, along with giving them physical reassurance that they are not alone in this world.
Talk your walk, upstairs. I've found that as a Lightworker, a lot of my best conversations and dialogues happen on the spiritual level. Physically, it's a lot of listening and affirming the truth of God and the universal laws of good. When I need to work something out in this life, I usually write a letter to the other person's higher self. I then journal it for safe-keeping, bury it, burn it or flush it down the toilet. If it's a love note to them for thanksgiving, praise, joy, friendship or the like, I enjoy keeping those in my journal. If it's a hard letter of forgiveness, jealousy, betrayal and the like, I usually get rid of those kinds of energies.
Here's the format I like to use when writing a letter to a person's higher self. I write a salutation at the top and the date. My first paragraph is an intention one. I write what the letter is going to address. I state my intention for writing the letter. My second paragraph explains the need or, why I feel this letter must be written now. It usually address the symptoms the issue is presenting in my life at the time. The third paragraph is devoted to a desired result that is manifesting in the near future. It basically asks what I'd like to see me and the other person come to an agreement on or, the outline of the new relationship or, next steps. The fourth paragraph is a thank you and praise paragraph. There is a closing and a signature. That's all there is to it!
People generally just want to be understood and given the reassurance that they aren't alone. Religion has successfully created a strong division between Creator and creation. In order to remedy this circumstance, it is necessary to remind each other and ourselves that this division is made out of F.E.A.R. or, false evidence appearing real. We are not separate from our creator. In fact, we are made out of the same substance and can connect with it at any time through consciousness of unity with it. All we must do is love and surrender to this connection force that makes the world go around. Every day, Creator is so close to us but we forget and go so far away. Today, let us remind each other how close we are, how connected we are to Source and become united with it. After all, we are one.
