Train - Drops Of Jupiter

The brightest planet resembling a star, unmoved

Discussion piece for millions and then, for us

In the same spot on that wooden bench both nights

Not seeing, but believing the first night, wondering through clouds

Seeing and beholding its magnificent glow that second night

Like a ball of lightening waiting to unravel but so calm there

Too bright to really understand, perplexed by the adjacent Full Moon

What a California Sky we've been having these days!

It reminds me of you and your distant ways and unforgiveness

I bet if I could capture that Jupiter planet and carry it in my palm to you

It still wouldn't be enough for you to open your heart yet

No matter, one day you will, when He has faded

And after many moons have come and gone

Repetition and loneliness get us all one day

It's then that the majesty of planets will consume you

The dialogue therein, its essence and existence

You, whom are but a piece of the puzzle,

Needed to finish the masterpiece of another.

Oh Jupiter, rain down not tonight, let your clear skies

Reveal yourself and your magic once more before

The moon fades and you are left as the lone Western Star.
